NUJ student seminar: What’s the Story? Life As A Working Journalist
Students across Ireland are invited to a free, in-person NUJ seminar in Dublin to hear from and network with prominent journalists. Final tickets available.
What’s The Story? Life As A Working Journalist
Final tickets are available for students hoping to attend the union's student seminar in Dublin 1 at 7pm on 17 November.
Speakers are: Bryan Dobson (RTÉ), Emma Tyrrell (98FM), Michael O’Toole (Irish Daily Star), and Zainab Boladale (RTÉ). The event will be chaired by the Cathaoirleach of the NUJ’s Irish Executive Council, Siobhan Holliman (Tuam Herald).
At this one-off seminar, students can get practical advice from speakers about what to expect when they start out in their careers as journalists. There will also be a chance to ask questions during a Q&A session afterwards. This event is not being live-streamed or recorded and is a golden opportunity for student journalists to learn from the best in the business.
There will also be working journalists and PR professionals in the audience, and attendees will have an opportunity to chat informally with them and speakers at a complimentary wine reception after the seminar and Q&A session.
