NUJ members at the BBC vote in favour of strike action

NUJ members working for BBC England have voted overwhelmingly in favour of strike action.

Of those balloted, 83 per cent voted in favour of strike action,17 per cent voted against strike action. 

92 per cent voted in favour of action short of strike, 8 per cent voted against action short of strike. 

 Turn out rate of 69 per cent was achieved. 

BBC local reps will meet this afternoon, and members will be informed of the outcome of the meeting.
