Ask your MP to sign Early Day Motions tabled by members of the NUJ Parliamentary Group urging action from the UK government and International Criminal Court, over Israel's targeting of journalists.
The International Federation of Journalists (IFJ) has recorded the killings of 89 Palestinian journalists during the Israel-Palestine war, with several others missing or injured. Grahame Morris MP, co-chair of the NUJ Parliamentary Group has tabled an Early Day Motion highlighting the importance of reporting by journalists in Gaza currently under attack.
EDM 284 calls on Government to urge Israeli authorities to desist from targeting journalists or media organisations and accept the need to help de-escalate the cycle of violence resulting in the human catastrophe.
John McDonnell MP, secretary of the NUJ Parliamentary Group has tabled EDM 288 urging the International Criminal Court to expedite its investigation into the evidence submitted of the systematic targeted attacks on journalists by Israeli forces.
The NUJ is urging members to ask their MP to sign the EDMs and raise awareness in parliaments of the shocking and unprecedented journalists’ deaths.
