TUC Racial Justice and Equality Conference will bring together trade union activists, members, union officials, and the wider anti-racism movement to explore the challenges faced by Black and Ethnic Minority (BME) workers in the workplace. We'll also be creating space for unions to come together and discuss the rise of the far right, and how we can effectively respond in workplaces and communities. The event will examine how we can address these issues through trade union negotiations, workplace representation, policy-making, and collective campaigning.
Key sessions will cover a variety of topics, including race in trade unions, structural racism in the workplace, the international rise of the far-right, health and safety concerns for BME workers, community justice, migrant justice, and tackling casualisation in the labour market.
Confirmed speakers will include trade union general secretaries, journalists, union officials, policymakers, and grassroots campaigners, with further details to be announced soon.
